Polka14's Armed Militia Called Upon To Create Buffer Zone Between Christians & Atheists

Clash of the Titans

Advertise | AdChoices

Early morning confrontation between Grisham's Atheists and Socrates1's Christians threatens to turn violent. Polka's Armed Citizenry were called in to mediate the clash. As of this time no injuries have been reported. An unidentified source had this to say about the confrontation:

"Hello. Welcome to the National Speech division. Today, you will be tested on your ability to speak and discuss certain topics without straying from approved viewpoints. Once you have passed these tests, you will be licensed to exercise your Freedom of Speech, as per the First Amendment."

From the Christian realm, another anonymous spokesman had this to say about the conflict:

"Thank you for stopping. Although I agree with your general premise, I don't think one article defending Christians is really that excessive when compared to the number of articles being turned out attacking them."

The Atheist were also quite vocal with this random sample:

"Agreed. I would stand up for the rights of the religious to hold their beliefs and spread their message as well. In fact, what many Christians seem to miss is that atheist (read Secular groups) groups fighting for the separation of church and state are also fighting for them. There is no guarantee that Christianity will remain the dominant religion. Imagine if the new religion (or non-religion) treated the now majority Christian population as they treat other minority groups."

BS News reporter Droppa Da Deucebag is on the vine reporting live: I don't exactly know why I'm here, but I was told to find the dumbest person to interview, and I just don't see him anywhere. There's no actual violence, just a lot of yadda yadda blah blah blah gum flapping so far, but it's definitely tense. Maybe later we'll find something they can all agree on like cute lil bunnies playing pat-a-cake with their little T-Rex arms. I'm going to get a cheeseburger and latte now...signing off.

Hecate's Daughter

As a Wiccan eyewitness to the confrontation, I can definitely say I was scared, confused, and at times, wished I lived on another planet. However, I could say that about a lot of stuff I've read on Newsvine. I guess we'll have to see what the new day brings, and hope casualties remain low. The suspension/ban list should tell us more by day's end. Back to you, BS News!

(Great article, btw, BD)

Yes, those 250 MILLION or more christians are in desperate need of protection from about 15-20 million atheists and agnostics

Those numbers alone would tell any rational and thinking person that rightwing christian whining in particular is nothing more than the screechings of bullies and thugs whose victims have turned on them and given them a bloody noise for all the years of rightwing christian bullying and thuggish acts.

I wish they could all meet in a room and have a televised food fight and then the winners get to hand feed cake to the losers.

Funny piece BD.

Thanks Vlad, was trying to think of a way to incorporate your piece on WH, but who really wants to see another WH headline?

A clash in their own 'rights' :), that's for certain. Yet, in some ways - not.

    Funny, BD. Thanks!

Thanks CL1, anything to add to the 'wish list'? I'm looking for new material. Maybe a line on 'anger management'. Etiquette doesn't work. I saw a theme for 'kill 'em with kindness' somewhere.

LOL... I think it's hopeless.. or is it helpless.. even hapless works! I'll just leave it with:

I "hope" we can "help" to prevent a hapless ending. :)

How about 'Concepts for Troll Angling', or 'Troll Angling for Dummies'.

BTW, I like your word play, it's subtle.

Ye'all stay tuned now; This is about Armageddon; between "God is our reality" and "Reality is our god". The pressures are just building; Are there enough resources on this globe to double the population; should there be a ban on abortion, sterilisation, masturbation, circumcision. Does the Devil cause us war, or is he just the fall-guy. Right here you'll find unbiased reporting. Stay tuned.
